The 17s didn't let their support go unnoticed as the 5-Stripes traveled to Florida for the MLS is Back Tournament. The supporters groups covered the entrance leading up to the facility earlier in the week before the team's departure.
The team left Saturday morning on the Fourth of July to trek to Orlando. They took full precautions as they traveled by wearing masks and following protocols mandated by the MLS.
As the team pulled out of the facilities, they were surprised with fans waiting right outside the gates for them, Rowdy & Proud like always. The 17s waved flags and signs and screamed for the team as they were on their way to the airport.
The 5-Stripes piled on their Delta charter for the short flight to Orlando, Florida. They all wore ATL UTD shirts with BLM on the sleeve to support Black Lives Matter.
After arriving in Orlando Saturday afternoon, the team arrived to their resort at Disney. As the team checked in, they were immediately tested for COVID-19 and proceeded to their rooms for 24-hour quarantine to follow MLS protocols.
Following the 24-hour quarantine, the team finally headed to the pitch to get their first session in Orlando.
